#our story
We’re a mission-driven team
For over five decades, wood has been at the heart of what we do. Today, we carry that experience forward through thoughtful design, responsible making and products created for everyday life.
Our Mission & Vision
Our mission is to make thoughtfully designed wooden products that bring natural materials back into everyday life - made responsibly in Kerala and made to be genuinely used.
Make Better Everyday Objects
To turn natural wood into thoughtful, functional products that make everyday living simpler, warmer and more considered.
Made Responsibly
We want to use wood intelligently, reduce unnecessary waste and make considered choices throughout the making process.
A Trusted Indian Wood Brand
To build Technowood into a trusted Indian brand for well-designed wooden products rooted in Kerala and relevant to homes everywhere.
Built Around Longevity
We believe replacing things less often is better than constantly buying more. Our products are designed with long-term use in mind.
Designed With Purpose
Every curve, proportion and detail should improve how a product is used — not simply how it looks. We want to make fewer, better objects that earn their place through usefulness,
Craft, Carried Forward
We combine decades of woodworking knowledge with contemporary design so traditional skills remain meaningful for the way people live today.
About
Generations of craft Designed for today
Technowood’s story did not begin with a product launch. It began with wood, a workshop and generations learning the material by working with it.
What started in Kerala in 1973 has continued to evolve with changing homes, technologies and ways of living. Today, we bring that experience together with contemporary product design to create objects that feel familiar, useful and considered.
For us, progress does not mean leaving craftsmanship behind. It means carrying what we have learned forward.

Made better, not simply more
We are not interested in filling homes with more things. We want to make fewer, better objects that earn their place through usefulness, material honesty and thoughtful craftsmanship.
