CARE AND USE

 

The instructions below are general guidelines. Certain products may include additional care information depending on their use and finish.

Everyday cleaning

Wipe wooden products with a soft, slightly damp cloth; wash kitchen items soon after use with mild soap and water.

Do not soak

Extended exposure of water can cause the fibres to swell unevenly and may lead to warping, cracking, surface roughness

Avoid dishwashers

Avoid dishwashers unless specifically marked safe—heat, moisture, and strong detergents can damage the wood.

Drying boards correctly

Wipe dry after washing and store upright or angled so both sides can air-dry. Never leave a wet surface flat on the countertop.

Keep away from extreme heat

Keep wooden products away from flames, hot stoves, and very hot cookware. High heat can scorch, dry, or weaken the wood.

Re-oiling

When the wood looks dry or pale, apply a thin coat of food-grade mineral oil to a clean, dry surface, let it absorb, then wipe off excess—avoid cooking oils, as they can turn rancid.

Good wood asks for very little.

Wood is a natural material. With everyday use, it will develop marks, deepen in character and slowly become part of your home. A little care is all it needs to age beautifully.

Everything we make here is meant to be used, not kept perfect. Wood will change a little with time that’s natural. Keep it clean, keep it dry, and treat it with a bit of care. If you do that, it will stay with you beautifully for years.
